The additional time allows you to properly manage all the parts of your future projects (such as research, design work, revisions, and securing the proper contractors). The best time to get your working designs drawn up is November through March. That timeframe is considered to be the off season and the period when designers typically are less likely to be inundated by other projects. Once you have your plans in hand it is a good idea to secure contractors for the work as soon as possible. Many contractors overbook work, so you want to get your projects for the upcoming season scheduled as early as possible.
